Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, occasionally we’ll direct your attention to articles from various other sources worth your time.

° Australian retailer Officeworks has pulled AirTags from sale over potential safety issues, which revolve around the ease of access to the button cell batteries used in the tracking accessory, according to Gizmodo.

° To celebrate Mother’s Day (which is this Sunday May 9), on its Newsroom webpage, Apple has published a profile of the developers behind Winnie, an iOS app designed to help mothers find childcare for their kids.

° In March, Apple filed a lawsuit against its former materials lead, Simon Lancaster for allegedly stealing trade secrets about “Project X,” leaking them to the media, and more. Now, per 9to5Mac, he’s formally filed his response and while he denies the primary allegations of leaking company secrets, he does admit to talking to a specific reporter while at Apple and asking for “favorable” stories of a start-up.

° Apple has emailed customers who have purchased a standard AppleCare plan for their Apple TV set-top boxes informing them that coverage has been extended from two years to three years.

° Fresh off their appearance as part of Apple’s Spring Loaded event, Terri Morgan and Chris Demiris of LumaTouch join host Chuck Joiner on the new MacVoices Live! They offer a look at some of the new features coming to LumaFusion. In the first part of our conversation, they talk about the integration of CoreMelt’s stabilization, show off the new multicam editing that can handle up to 12 different video tracks, and the new audio capabilities. 

° Apple manufacturing partner TSMC plans not just one, but six chip plants, in Arizona, reports Reuters.

° In a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — Morgan Stanley Katy Huberty says she expects Apple App Store revenue will grow less than expected in the June quarter, though its long-term outlook remains unchanged.

° Microsoft teams is getting automatic meeting recording. There’s no timeline for when it will launch, notes Windows Latest.
