Notable apps and updates: April 20

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

MakeProg Technologies has introduced DisplayProg 1.0, its utility for switching the settings of connected monitors on macOS.

The app allows anyone to switch the resolution of monitors and rotate the angle of monitor display. The tool allows you to select from the four last-used recent resolutions.

Users can also save the configuration to custom label and load the same resolution at any time and apply the changes to all the monitors seamlessly. DisplayProg 1.0 requires macOS 10.12 or later. It costs US$4.99 and is available at the Mac App Store.

Pepite Studios says their first game will be released on Mac, Windows, and Linux this summer. Peppy’s Adventure is a 1-screen, top-down, action-puzzle game controlled with only directional inputs.

You play as Peppy, a bun-shaped bunny on his journey to rescue the village younglings from the clutches of the Hooded Fox. As you pursue his airship from world to world, you will have to solve your way through short challenging levels as fast as possible facing an army of reckless foxes.

The initial game release will feature 6 worlds and 126 levels. New worlds will be released as free updates on a regular basis until completion of the storyline.
