Dock5 Multi-Device Charging Station is a great solution for some folks, families

Satechi has launched its latest charging station, the USS$59.99 Dock5 Multi-Device Charging Station with Wireless Charging, which is capable of charging multiple electronics simultaneously. It’s a fine solution for juicing up five gadgets at once — though it doesn’t meet all my needs.

But it may meet all yours if you need to charge up to five of any of these compatible devices: 2020 iPad Air, 2020/2018 iPad Pro, Microsoft Surface Pro 7/Surface Go, Google PixelBook Go, iPhone 12 Pro Max/12 Pro/12 Mini/12, iPhone 11 Pro Max/11 Pro/11, Samsung Galaxy Note S20/S20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra, S10/S10+, AirPods Pro/AirPods 2 with wireless charging case, and most smartphones, tablets, e-readers, and handheld gaming devices.

Here’s what I need to charge: an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro, an Apple Watch Series 6, and AirPods Pro in a wireless charging case. So the Dock5 easily handles the iPhone, iPad Pro, and AirPods Pro. However, it doesn’t accommodate the Apple Watch. And though I can charge the smartphone on the Satechi device, the charger doesn’t take advantage of one of the premiere features of the iPhone 12 line-up: MagSafe charging.

So, for me, if I’m going to charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max wirelessly (which I prefer to do), that means I’ll only be using two of the charging ports on the Dock5. But other folks may use all five. And it’s a great solution for families with multiple Apple devices.

With a Qi wireless charging slot (up to 10W), two USB-C PD ports (up to 20W each), and two USB-A ports (up to 12W each), the Dock5 can charge up to five devices at once. It’s ETL and CE certified with over-temperature protection to quickly, yet safely, charge electronics.

With its built-in silicone dividers and non-slip padding, it will hold your devices with no worry of scratches. Plus, with its aluminum space gray finish, the charging station is an aesthetic match with Apple products. Finally, Satechi has conveniently designed the product so that you can charge most devices without removing a case.

The Dock 5 is also relatively compact considering all the features it packs. It’s

9.375 x 5.25 x 3.75 inches and weighs just over two pounds.

However, look at the above list and see which of the compatible devices you and your family need to charge. Are three or more on the list? If so, the Dock5 is a great accessory — and a bargain at under 60 bucks.
