° Greyhound, the WWII battleship drama written by and starring Tom Hanks, is now available to view on Apple’s streaming television service, Apple TV+. Also debuting are Little Voice and Greatness Code.
° Apple is re-closing 11 additional retail stores in the U.S. because of local increases in COVID-19. 9to5Mac notes that, the stores are located in California, Maryland, Ohio, and Tennessee.
° iOS apps including Spotify, SoundCloud, Waze, Imgur, and many more are reporting crashing and freezing issues this morning, as pointed out by users on Reddit and in the MacRumors forums. The issue appears to be related to Facebook’s iOS SDK, which is used by many apps for login purposes.
° Apple “leaker” @L0vetodream has corroborated previous reports that the upcoming “iPhone 12 Pro” will come with 6G of RAM, while the “normal” iPhone 12 will have 4GB.
° The Information says Apple is working with Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology, Apple’s largest contract manufacturer and the one responsible for building most iPhones, to develop semitransparent lenses for its AR devices.
° Reuters reports that he European Union’s second highest court will next week rule in an appeal by Apple and Ireland against an EU ruling for the U.S. company to pay 13 billion euros ($16 billion) in back taxes.
° Foxconn plans to invest up to $1 billion to expand a factory in southern India where the Taiwanese contract manufacturer assembles Apple iPhones, two sources told Reuters.

° According to a new preview page on Apple’s regional retail website, a revamped and relocated Apple Sanlitun outlet will open soon in Beijing. It will replace the company’s first retail store in China.
