MacBook users looking for a speedy way to transfer media from SD and micro-SD cards can stop searching: Satechi today announced its Aluminum Type-C UHS-II Micro/SD Card Reader ($39.99) that works perfectly with the USB-C-based MacBook and MacBook Pro models shipped over the past several years.
The reader features a brushed aluminum exterior in either silver or space gray, and has two slots for simultaneous micro-SD and SD card access. Read and write speeds are quite fast, up to 312 Mbps, which makes transferring 4K video from a DSLR or drone into a MacBook a quick proposition.
