You can donate at iTunes to help victims of the forest fires in Alberta

As noted by AppleInsider, folks shopping on Apple’s Canadian iTunes storefront can now donate to relief for victims of the forest fires in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

The company is accepting donations to the Canadian Red Cross in $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200 increments. Apple doesn’t take a cut of the proceeds.

The wildfire continues to burn in the Fort McMurray area and NASA satellites continue to image the area. Fire conditions remain extreme in the province due to low humidity, high temperatures and wind according to the emergency updates being released by the Government of Alberta.

More than 1,500 firefighters, approximately 150 helicopters, 222 pieces of heavy equipment and more than 28 air tankers are fighting the fires across the province. The fires have burned for several days and forced the evacuation of over 100,000 people, destroying 20% of the homes in the area.
