Western Digital’s G-Tech line promoted with the iMac Pro in mind

The iMac Pro is almost here. To get the most out of its processing power, you might want to check out Western Digital’s G-Technology branded Thunderbolt 3 line

They’re plug and play with the Mac and provide fast data transfers with an Enterprise-class 7200RPM hard drive. They include the:

*G-DRIVE: A stackable aluminum enclosure with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, the G-DRIVE sports dual USB-C ports.  The G-DRIVE with Thunderbolt is designed for photographer and video creatives looking for a highly reliable storage solution with up to 250MB/s of performance.

*G-RAID: The G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3 also comes in a stackable aluminum enclosure, which is also designed to fit under the 27-inch iMac monitor. The G-RAID features two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB-C port and an HDMI port for connecting additional monitors. With up to 500MB/s, the G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3 is a a good fit for editing 4K video footage.

*G-SPEED Shuttle XL: The G-SPEED Shuttle XL’s transportable enclosure features a handle for moving up to 96TB of files from production to your iMac Pro for editing. With the eight Enterprise Class HDD’s, the G-SPEED Shuttle XL provides up to 2000MB/s. This solution is designed for 4K and 8K video workflows.
