Virtual JNUC kicks off with focus on future of remote work, distance learning, telehealth

Jamf virtually kicks off the 11th annual Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC), the largest gathering of Apple IT professionals in the world. Here is a roundup of the news that Jamf announced in today’s keynote:

  • Work Anywhere, COVID-19 has ignited the greatest digital transformation to the modern workforce, with employees working from home across the world. Jamf’s Apple Enterprise Management (AEM) platform is meeting the remote workforce’s demands with new key functionalities including: 

    • Streamlined authentication and identity management, biometric security 

    • Extension of the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security partnership for conditional access for iOS devices

    • Apple-specific endpoint protection, securing devices accessing resources from anywhere

    • Enhanced Marketplace offerings, including recent integrations with JIra, ServiceNow and Splunk

  • Care Anywhere, COVID-19 has created an urgent need to protect providers while connecting them to their patients. This year, Jamf announced a new telehealth workflow designed to connect patients, families and providers, all while keeping communities safe.

  • Learn Anywhere, When schools were forced to pivot to a distance learning model, teachers, parents and students needed the ability to successfully teach and learn from anywhere. Jamf’s Learn Anywhere is a complete solution for remote education; it’s bridging the gap between home and in-school learning with key functionalities including:

    • The ability for teachers to launch a virtual classroom or 1-1 meeting with students in one click via Remote Class 

    • Raise hand feature to allow students to digitally engage teachers with questions or issues in a real time fashion

    • Jamf Assessment now provides a fully compliant method to administer proctored exams

    • Fresh integrations with Jamf Teacher, Jamf Parent and Jamf School Student apps to enable better teacher to student communication and empower parents to get more involved in their children’s education and device usage
