Turkey’s prime minister to Apple: just move here

In the wake of the European Commission ruling that Apple must repay 13 billion euros ($14.5 billion) in back taxes, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey extended an open invitation for Apple to move its international operations to his country.

“Apple should move to Turkey,” , Mehmet Simsek wrote on Twitter (as noted by AppleInsider). “Happy to provide more generous tax incentives. Won’t have to deal with EU bureaucracy.”

Currently, Apple has two stores in Istanbul and may be planning a third. The first one opened in Istanbul in the Zorlu Mall in April 2014. The second store opened in the Akasya Mall in October 2014 . A third store will reportedly open this year in in the Emaar Square Mall (pictured).
