TRENDnet’s USB-C to HDMI 4K UHD Display Adapter is useful for owners of new MacBook Pros

TRENDnet’s US$27.49 USB-C to HDMI 4K UHD Display Adapter is a handy peripheral for owners of MacBook Pros with Touch Bar and 12-inch MacBooks who wish to connect the laptop to big screen TVs, HDMI monitors, or projectors on occasion.

It allows you to connect an additional high resolution monitor to a workstation in Extend Mode. You can view a computer HDTV display up to 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30Hz (60Hz would be better, but still).

The USB-C to HDMI 4K UHD Display Adapter is powered by the connected computer, so you don’t need an external power supply. This and the fact that you can stash it in a carry cash or overnight bag is convenient considering that some folks will need multiple connectors and dongles for Apple’s latest laptops.

Youcan even add multiple large screen HD displays to your workstation, though you’ll need one TUC-HDMI per display. Andyou can combine multiple displays into one viewing field with Extend Mode or repeat a viewing field to another display with Mirror Mode.

Connect the high speed USB-C port to your computer, then connect the HDMI cable to your TV to stream HD video. Voila! You’re good to go.
