Transcend releases EDS350C solid state drive

Transcend has released a new portable SSD, the ESD350C, that’s compatible with macOS, Windows and Android devices. Featuring a USB Type-C port and supporting the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface, the drive can be used with devices equipped with USB Type-C or USB Type-A ports.

It’s equipped with the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface with the support of UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), delivering transfer speeds of up to 1,050MB/second. The ESD350C comes in a navy blue silicone rubber case that’s ruggedized and shock-resistant.

It comes pre-formatted in the exFAT file system, and provides storage capacity of up to 960GB. The SSD comes equipped with both a USB Type-C and USB Type-C to Type-A cable, so it can be used with legacy, as well as new devices.

Transcend’s ESD350C portable SSD is available in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacities for $99.99, $129.99, and $209.99, respectively. Also included in the package are a USB Type-C cable as well as a USB Type-C to Type-A cable. All Transcend’s portable SSDs are backed by a three-year, limited warranty.
