Tim Cook discusses iPhone, Apple Pay

At this afternoon’s Spring Forward event, Apple CEO Time Cook announced that his company has sold 700 million iPhones to date, making it the top selling smart phone in the world. That’s a lot of iPhones and, fortunatley for Apple, a lot of happy customers. Tim noted that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are enjoying a 99% customer satisfaction, according to a recent survey.

Tim also briefly discussed Apple Pay. After just three months, the program has expanded from six supporting banks to over 2,500. Retail participation has nearly tripled in that same time period to almost 700,000 participants. Finally, Cook noted that Coca-Cola is rolling out vending machines that support Apple Pay. No more struggling with crinkled dollar bills!
