The wait is almost over…

It’s almost time for Apple’s “Gather Round” event to begin. The Apple online store for iPhones has been down most of the morning, there have been last minute leaks of more information (this time from Apple), and the tech press is filing into the Steve Jobs Theater at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, CA… except for me (I’m on on a cruise ship in the Atlantic) and Dennis (somewhere in Colorado). Being the dedicated tech bloggers we are, we’re still planning on giving you coverage of the event today.

One of those last minute leaks came via Apple, which apparently posted an updated site map that showed pages for the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr. By the way, has anyone else noted that auto-correct wants to change “Xr” to “X-ray”?

Other news says that no new Macs will be announced, so Apple’s desktop and laptop lines continue to languish. Of course, we’ll know for sure in a few hours, won’t we?
