The W3 Stand for Apple Watch practical, fun and affordable

Talk about your Mac mini. With the $16 W3 Stand for Apple Watch, you can turn your Apple smartwatch into the world’s smallest Mac. Well, not really, but the combo does offer that illusion.

The W3 Stand is a silicone smartwatch stand that makes the Apple Watch resemblea miniature Macintosh; it’s even equipped with a floppy drive cutout. The Elago device is compatible with all Apple Watch series running watchOS 2 or higher.

The charging puck for the smartwatch slips into a recessed circular hole in the stand, and the cable tucks underneath. Then slid in the Apple Watch. The straps can be connected around the back of the stand to make the set-up look even more Mac-like.

Place your smartwatch on the stand to charge your watch. Sit it near your bed to easily access functions such as alarm clocks and messages. Plus, the W3 Stand conveniently supports Nightstand mode. Heck, the mode’s green coloring is a fine fit for the 1984 Mac look of the stand.

When your Apple Watch is charging and on its side, you can use it as a nightstand clock and an alarm clock. In Nightstand Mode, the smartwatch displays the date and time, along with the remaining charge. If you set an alarm, it also appears on the watch face. Click here to see how to use NightStand mode.

The W3S Stand — available in both black and white —  is made from scratch-free silicone. This helps prevent damage to the Apple watch and keeps it from sliding around. The Elago product is practical, fun and affordable. What’s not to love?
