The iPad Pro is available today at Apple retail stores

As announced, Apple is taking orders for the iPad Pro online. However, instead of waiting until Friday, you can pick one up today at an Apple retail store (at least as long as supplies last).

For instance, I placed my order today at 6 am (Central), not expecting availability until Friday. Instead I was informed that the super-sized iPad would be available at the Green Hills Apple retail store in Nashville, TN, later today. I’m still awaiting my email confirmation that it’s ready for pick-up.

The first iPad Pro online orders will arrive on Friday, Nov. 13, when one-day shipping is selected, and early next week for free shipping. Unfortunately, the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard aren’t slated to arrive until late next week, so I won’t be able to pick the items up along with my iPad Pro today. This will delay my comparison of the iPad Pro and the 12-inch MacBook as a secondary computer. More on that next week.
