There’s a lot happening in the world of Apple news this week. Following are the hottest articles for the week of Feb. 12-17.

TrendForce reports that the global notebook shipments for 2017 registered 164.7 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, higher than previous expectation of 0.7%. And Apple has overtaken ASUS in global laptop marketshare.

Apple shipped more watches during the holiday quarter last year than the entire Swiss watch industry exported, marking the first time Apple topped the entire export output of the industry’s traditional home.

According to new research from TechInsights, Apple spends $216 to build a $350 HomePod, so margins from the tech giant’s wireless speaker are slimmer than, for instance, those for its iPhone line.
