Just Mobile says its $49.95 AluCharge is the world’s slimmest USB charger. I’ll take their word for it because at just 0.72 inches thick, it’s is barely taller than an USB port. Still, it can charge up to four devices simultaneously (however, you’ll have to provide your own Lightning cables).
This makes it a great traveling companion if, like me, you often need to charge and iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch while on the road. Thanks to its “intelligent” charging, it delivers the right amount of power to iOS, watchOS and even Android gadgets. It provides 2.4A max per port.
The AluCharge is finished in unibody aluminum, so looks good with Apple devices. It incorporates just the four USB ports on the front and the socket for the power supply to the wall on its backside. As I said, it’s functional, sleek, and slim (though the power outlet cord is almost as big as the charger itself) — pretty much everything you’d want in a portable, multi-port charger. However, it would have been nice if Just Mobile had included a carrying pouch for the AluCharge.
