Synology to host a series of workshops across North America

Synology Inc. has announced a series of workshops aimed at helping business owners identify and solve their data and security issues. Currently, there are over a million Synology units in service, with three thousand more added every day.

Experts from Synology will be on site giving hands-on demonstrations, explaining what to do when disaster strikes and steps users can take now to prevent important data from being lost.  Workshops are scheduled in 17 cities throughout 15 states and Canada. Each workshop is broken up into two sessions followed by a giveaway and demonstrations of Synology’s products and business solutions. Registration for these workshops is now open. For more information or to register click here.

In conjunction with the workshops, Synology is also announcing the RS819 (pictured), a compact and scalable 4-bay rackmount NAS with snapshot technology support. It’s designed with small businesses in mind and allows users to manage, share, synchronize, and back up data.

The RS819 comes in a compact chassis that’s less than 12 inches deep and can easily be stored in a 2-post or wall-mount rack. It’s due to launch April 11.
