Steve Jobs among those to be memorialized in National Garden of American Heroes

As noted by AppleInsider, the late Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder and former CEO, will be memorialized in a National Garden of American Heroes, with a statue of the visionary set to join hundreds of others in the park once it’s constructed.

The order, issued on Monday, is a revision to an earlier order to establish a statuary park named the National Garden of American Heroes, and the creation of an “Interagency Task Force for Building and Rebuilding Monuments to American Heroes.” Go to Section 3 and you’ll find the entire list of names recommended for inclusion in the Garden.

The National Garden of American Heroes is a proposed monument to “great figures of America’s history”, planned through executive order by President Donald Trump. The garden, along with a Task Force for Building and Rebuilding Monuments to American Heroes, was announced on July 3, 2020 at the Independence Day celebration event at Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota.  In his speech, Trump described the proposed monument as “a vast outdoor park that will feature the statues of the greatest Americans to ever live.”
