Special April Fool’s Day report: Apple Car canned, but Apple Monster Truck coming

Apple may have canceled plans for an Apple Car, but in a special April Fool’s Day exclusive, the Sellers Research Group (that’s me) has discovered evidence that the tech giant is instead planning its own line of monster trucks.

After running into issue after issue in building an electric self-driving car, Apple is going in the opposite direction. The Apple Monster Truck will run on diesel fuel and have too many gears for an autonomous vehicle system to handle.

The vehicle will debut at the 2025 Monster Jam at the 2024 Monster Jam at the Atlanta (Georgia) motor speedway. Especially exciting is news that Apple CEO Tim Cook himself will be driving the monster truck at the exhibit. A Southern boy (he was born in Mobile, Alabama), Cook is reportedly a monster truck junkie and has 35 different vehicles in his collection.
