Satechi’s MagSafe-compatible charging cable is a better alternative than Apple’s MagSafe Charge

Satechi’s US$29.99 USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable is a more-than-viable alternative to Apple’s $39.99 MagSafe Charger — although neither product will be of any use to iPhone 12 owners who, like me, are facing wireless charging issues.

Hopefully, this frustrating problem will be resolved soon, and the USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable  will work with a wide variety of iPhones (though the charging issue is on Apple’s end, not Satechi’s).

Designed with the iPhone 12 line in mind, the charger allows users to take advantage of Apple’s new MagSafe magnetic wireless charging feature. According to tech giant, MagSafe improves wireless charging for a better, more efficient experience and introduces an ecosystem of easy-to-attach accessories that complement iPhone 12 models.

Satechi’s USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable integrates magnets to provide a solid grip while charging the smartphone. Just place the back of the smartphone on top of the charger, and its magnetic design will snap and click into place. The charger provides users a fast charge with up to 7.5W output for iPhone devices.

The USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable complement’s Apple aesthetics with a slim profile and sleek, space gray, metallic finish. And its sports a nearly 5-foot cable (longer than the 3.28-feet cable on Apple’s MagSafe Charger) and reversible USB-C connector.

Satechi’s USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable provides Qi wireless charging with magnetic connection supported by the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 12 without a case. If you’re using a case without Apple’s MagSafe technology, or for compatibility with iPhone 11, users can purchase Satechi’s US$9.99 Magnetic Sticker. It’s designed to pair with the USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable to enable support for iPhone 11 models and iPhone 12 cases that aren’t MagSafe compatible.

With its durable build, good looks, and longer cable at a lower price, Satechi’s USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable is a better alternative than Apple’s MagSafe Charger on pretty much all counts.
