Sandvox 2.1 available, adds Sandvox hosting

Karelia Software’s Sandvox has been providing dead-simple website creation to customers for years. Now, the same team has simplified the process of getting your work online with Sandvox hosting, available through Sandvox 2.10.

I first looked at Sandvox years ago at TUAW and found it to be simple and effective. Over time I’ve watched it grow into a robust publishing platform, and am glad to see the company simplify hosting as well.

When users opt to host their site with Sandvox, they’re guided through the process with minimal fuss and comforting simplicity, as you’d expect from Karelia. Just choose a subdomain and select a password. That’s it.

Speaking of passwords, Sandvox 2.10 even helps you pick one that strong and secure, as it compares your choice to its database of the 500 most common passwords that are at least eight characters long. Pick a bad one, and you’re prompted to try again.

Customers can pick a subdoman, purchase a domain or bring your own. Current Sandvox customers can try hosting for free for 14 days. When the trial period ends, you can opt for a monthly plan or three levels of subscriptions, which you can browse here
