Rumor: upcoming iPhones could support two Bluetooth audio profiles

Apple’s upcoming iPhones could connect to two Bluetooth speakers or headphones at the same time, according to the Japanese blog, Mac Otakara, as noted by MacRumors.

The article says this would function similar to Samsung’s Dual Audio Feature, which lets users play music or other audio from their Galaxy phone or tablet to two connected Bluetooth devices. Currently, iPhones can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices (and multiple speakers via AirPlay 2), but only one Bluetooth audio profile.

Chances this rumor is true, according to the Sellers Research Group (that’s me): 90%. It makes sense and would certainly improve the ability for iPhone users to share music with others.
