Rumor two of the day: AirTags to cost about $39

Apple’s rumored AirTags item trackers will be slightly larger than a 50% coin and around three times the thickness and cost about US39, according to leaker Max Weinbach on the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro.

He says they’ll be about 32mm x 32mm x 6mm in size. Makes sense, and the Sellers Research Group (that’s me) expects them to debut in April.

AirTags, which were expected last year, would be a Tile competitor that you could attach to an item (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV remote, car keys, etc.) and track it if it’s misplaced or lost. There are several similar products on the market, such as Tile and Adero, but Apple’s version will purportedly be more deeply integrated with its own devices.
