Rumor three of the day: iPhone Pro, Pro Max models will come in matte black option

The iPhone 13 will come with a matte black option for the Pro and Pro Max models, a new stainless steel coating that reduces smudges and fingerprints, a new rear-camera design, and improved noise cancelation with beamforming for phone calls, according to leaker Max Weinbach on the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro.

Last month he said that the iPhone 13 lineup (which some rumors say will be dubbed the “iPhone 12S, though I don’t agree) will include an always-on ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, improved camera capabilities for astrophotography, and stronger MagSafe magnets.

Always On Display (AOD) is a smartphone feature that shows limited information while the phone is asleep. According to Apple, ProMotion “delivers refresh rates of up to 120Hz for fluid scrolling, greater responsiveness and smoother motion content” and “improves display quality and reduces power consumption by automatically adjusting the display refresh rate to match the movement of the content.
