In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will launch third-generation AirPods with a form factor design “similar to AirPods Pro” in the first half of 2021.
Introduced in October 2019, the AirPods Pro (pictured) are described by Apple as featuring “Active Noise Cancellation and superior, immersive sound in an all-new lightweight, in-ear design.” The have flexible ear tips with a vent system to equalize pressure and minimize discomfortThe current AirPods lineup includes second-generation AirPods with a wired charging case for US$159, second-generation AirPods with a wireless charging case for $199, and AirPods Pro with a wireless charging case for $249.
