Rumor: new iMac, AirPods ready to ship

Apple has new iMac and AirPods updates that are “ready to ship” although no release dates have been set, according to reliable leaker, Jon Prosser. leaker.

“There’s still an iMac and AirPods ready to ship,” Prosser tweeted. “Theoretically, since they’re ready, they could drop at any time.”

New iMacs will doubtless offer beefed-up specs and more, less pricey storage. The all-in-one is overdue for an update. Apple could release a 23-inch iMac by reducing the screen bezels while keeping the price the same as the current 21.5-inch model. Hopefully, Apple will add a couple of inches to the 27-inch iMac, as well.

Some are imagining an all-in-one with a “single slab of glass” design. On January 24, Apple filed for a patent (number 20200026327) for “electronic device with glass housing member” that hints at a radical design of the iMac.

Prosser said he wasn’t sure what model of AirPods Apple is planning to ship (the Sellers Research Group — that’s me — is dubious of a lower-priced model that some pundits are expecting). He adds that the rumored Air Tags will be unveiled at Apple’s “virtual” Worldwide Developer Conference in June

“Air Tags,” or “Apple Tags” are arumored are a tracking device that will compete with the Tile, a tiny Bluetooth tracker and app combo. After you have purchased your Tile, download the app to iOS device, and y pair your Tile to your device. Once your device is paired use your app to find your item; just listen for the ring.
