Rumor: Apple Watch Series 7 will indeed have a screen size increase, redesign

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman confirms rumors that the Apple Watch Series 7 is set for a screen size boost and a new design.

He says that this year’s model of the smartphone “is all about a new design with a flatter display and edges, a faster processor and slightly larger screens.” Gurman says he doesn’t expect any major health upgrades until at least next year, when we may see a body-temperature sensor.

He says that the Apple Watch Series 7 will come in 41-millimeter and 45-millimeter sizes, up from 40 and 44 millimeters. He also says that Apple will bundle multiple new watch faces to take advantage of the bigger screen.

Other rumored features of the Apple Watch Series 7 include:

° It will have a speaker grills.

° It will pack a smaller “S7” chip that would leave more room for a larger battery or other components.

° it be offered in a green hue.

° It will (d’uh) sport a faster processor.

° It will sport a “new lamination technique” that raises the watch’s display closer to the top cover.

° It will borrow updated ultra-wideband technology from the Apple AirTag key finder.
