“Ring In The New Year” Apple Watch activity challenge

Want a way to get “rewarded” for working off those extra holiday pounds? Apple has a “Ring In The New Year” activity challenge that sounds fun and will be great motivation to get moving. The challenge takes some work to achieve and will last all month long in case you accidentally backslide…

According to Apple, “Earn this special achievement when you close all three Activity rings each day for any full week, Monday to Sunday, in January. You’ll also earn special stickers in the Messages app.”

Wow, so you get stickers AND one of those cool achievement pins! What do you need to do to get all three rings in a day? Standing and moving around at least 1 minute of 12 different hours each day, getting 30 minutes of exercise per day, and meeting your personal move goal for burning active calories. 

The alert for this challenge should appear after midnight local time on Wednesday, December 28. Our Australian friends already got the alert; it must be nice always living in the future…
