Report says Apple TV+ now has 7% of the US streaming market

According to new data from JustWatch, an international streaming guide, Apple TV+ is slowly, but surely, gaining traction in the streaming market and now has 7% of the market.

The report says the streaming market in the US sees a “fierce rivalry” for first place with Netflix and Prime Video a mere 2% apart. Following that trend, Disney+ and HBO Max stand parallel to one another with Disney+ slightly overpowering HBO Max and claiming the third spot this quarter.

Netflix suffered from a downward spiral this year, losing -2% of shares by September. On the other hand, Disney+ gained an advantage in the streaming wars, winning over +3% of the market. Similar to Disney+, Apple TV+ and HBO Max both did well, each adding +2%, according to JustWatch.

Netflix dominates with 27% of the streaming market. It’s followed by Prime Video (19%), Disney+ (15%), HBO Max (15%), Hulu (10%, Apple TV+ (7%), Paramount+ (4%), and all others (9%).
