Report claims Apple will ship up to 10 million Vision Pros in three years

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple has dropped the number of Vision Pro units that it plans to ship in 2024 from 700,000-800,000 to 400,000-450,00 units.

According to an Interface News post, Apple will ship 400,000 units of the Vision Pro at launch, 1 million in 2024, and up to 10 million in its first three years.

The first generation of the US$3,499 (and higher) Spatial Computer isn’t due until, in Apple’s words “early) 2024 (which I suspect means sometime in March). However, it will apparently only be available in limited quantities at first.

The Interface News claims that the hardware cost of the Vision Pro is approximately US$1,700. Other reports have claimed that it is much higher and that Apple will barely make a profit on sales of the first generation device.
