Qualcomm to Apple: hey, you can’t do that!

Law360 reports that Qualcomm has told a California federal court that Apple shouldn’t be able to revive challenges against three Qualcomm smartphone processing patents that the iPhone maker dropped in the middle of the tech giants’ recent intellectual property trial.

On Monday Apple and its allies kicked off a jury trial against chip supplier Qualcomm Inc in San Diego, alleging that Qualcomm engaged in illegal patent licensing practices and seeking up to $27 billion in damages. The trial is expected to fun at least five weeks.
