Popular Community Bank adds Apple Pay support

Popular Community Bank, a subsidiary of Popular Inc., has added support for Apple Pay. Consumer and business banking customers can now enroll their eligible debit cards and pay quickly at participating merchants via Apple’s mobile payment service.

Enabling debit cards in the three leading mobile wallets is one of several recent digital features Popular Community Bank has deployed. The PIN Password and Touch ID features were launched last September as Popular Community Bank prepared for the rollout of Mobile Cash in early 2016. The bank also rolled out People Pay, a person-to-person payment solution earlier this year.

Founded in 1893, Popular, Inc. (https://www.popularcommunitybank.com) is the leading banking institution by both assets and deposits in Puerto Rico and ranks among the top 50 U.S. banks by assets.

Apple Pay works with the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE and Apple Watch. When paying within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro. It’s also macOS Sierra compatible.
