Plugable 2.5 Gigabit USB Ethernet Adapter offers easy way to upgrade to faster wired connection speeds

The 16-inch MacBook Pro, the new MacBook Air, and, well, pretty much all of Apple’s laptops have, for years, had a dearth of ports and connectivity options. Which means users often end up with a plethora of cables and adapters.

Still, depending on your needs, you may wish to add the Plugable 2.5 Gigabit USB Ethernet Adapter to your collection, as it offers an easy way to upgrade laptops (and desktops for that matter) with faster wired connection speeds.

While most Ethernet adapters only support 1 Gigabit link rates, the Plugable supports wired speeds up to 2.5 times faster than the 1Gbps standard when used with Cat 5e cabling, commonly found in existing network environments, and supporting hardware (switches and routers). This increased performance means you can take advantage of the latest advances in high-speed Internet.

The Plugable Adapter includes an attached USB-C to USB 3.2 Gen 1 adapter out of the box. The adapter is backwards compatible with earlier networking standards such as Gigabit (10/100/1000) networks. It also supports auto-negotiation and is compatible with both full-duplex and half-duplex networks. This makes it an great choice for both current and future network connectivity.

The Plugable 2.5 Gigabit USB Ethernet Adapter is available now for $39.99.
