Pledge your support for Apple World Today on Patreon

One of our primary goals here at Apple World Today is to keep banner ads off of the site. We’ll have sponsors, Like this week’s premiere sponsor i4Software, and deal partners, but we’re going to do our best to keep those flashing, animated, annoying banner ads from our site. To do that, though, we need not only the help of the sponsors and deal partners, but YOU, the readers.

How can you help? Well, think of Apple World Today as almost like a public radio or television channel. We have expenses to cover and we need to make a living, so money has to keep flowing in. Like those public channels, we’re going to ask you for money. We’re doing that through Patreon.

Patreon allows creators to get paid for their work. You can pledge anything from $1 a month on up, and we provide incentives along the way. Right now we need about $9,000 a month just to pay ourselves a minimal wage and cover our expenses. If we make that amount and our sponsors keep being generous, we’ll be able to continue operations indefinitely.

As more and more people pledge their support, we can do more. We even set ourselves a wild goal — if we make $25,000 per month off of the generosity of our readers, we will start planning AppleWorldExpo, a traveling one-day conference/expo that won’t just be in San Francisco, but in a number of cities around the world.

But, as I noted, we can only do it if you open your wallets, take out a credit card, and pledge your support to Apple World Today. Do it today, and encourage your friends to do it as well. We’ll keep writing, shooting video, and expanding our coverage as you help us out.

Thanks in advance for your support.
