Notable apps and updates: March 11

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

AgileBits has released version 7.8 of 1Password, its macOS password management app. The upgrade runs natively on Apple’s M1 Macs.

1Password 7.8 requires macOS 10.13 or later and can be downloaded from the 1Password website. It’s a subscription app that starts at US$3.99 per user per month. A demo is available for download.

Adobe is introducing a Photoshop update to bring native support for M1 Macs.

Adobe says it offers 1.5x faster performance than running the software via Rosetta emulation on Apple Silicon systems. The upgrade also fixes some bugs.
