Notable apps and updates: June 23

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS

Jamf has released Jamf Unlock. It’s software that’s designed to streamline logging into and unlocking a Mac tied to an enterprise management system.

It’s available at the App Store for iOS and iPadOS. It’s a free download. With Jamf Unlock, users complete a setup process to create or generate identity credentials (certificate) on their device, which is then used to pair and establish trust with a Mac. Once the setup is complete, users can use the app as an alternate authentication method in a variety of scenarios.

QuinnScape has served up Packing Pro 13.4 for iOS. It’s an update that adds over 30 COVID-19 related items and tasks to the Master Catalog.

Packing Pro is a mobile travel packing list app that features: unlimited, customizable packing lists; an extensive catalog; sample lists, iCloud auto-sync; and various list sharing options. Some important pre-trip tasks include getting tested or vaccinated, checking on travel restrictions and more.

Packing Pro is a universal app that is available for purchase worldwide on the App Store for US$2.99. The basic Packing ( TO DO!) sells for $0.99.

macOS

Cisdem has upgraded Cisdem Video Converter, a video conversion tool for macOS, to version 6.7.0. The new version updates the download component and solves the download failure problem.

Cisdem Video Converter 6.7.0 requires macOS 10.10 or higher and costs $49.99 for a single user, lifetime license.  A demo is available for download.
