Notable apps and updates, January 19

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Zevrix Solutions has announced LinkOptimizer Server 6.0.8, a feature update to company’s image workflow tool for Adobe InDesign based on hot folders. The utility automates complex image manipulation tasks and allows users to reduce link size, convert images, optimize resolution and more.

The app serves unlimited users on a network and combines LinkOptimizer processing with other output formats. Version 6.0.8 lets users sync settings presets via iCloud to use the same workflows on multiple Macs.

Output Factory Server 3 with built-in LinkOptimizer Server can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$699.95. LinkOptimizer for single users costs $259.95. A demo is available for download. The upgrade cost is $350 for the licensed users of earlier

Output Factory Server versions and BatchOutput Server. LinkOptimizer users can get a $200 discount. Output Factory Server requires macOS 10.12 or later and Adobe InDesign CC 2018-2021.

iOS/iPadOS

CrioSoft has announced Amperes 4.0.13, an update to its information app for iPhones and iPads. Amperes will display the remaining run times for different activities and the most critical information about a user’s device, such as device space, memory, thermal status, network, screen and more. Version 4.0.13 adds new functionality to submit test results to the company’s online benchmark service. Scores can be compared with other user and device submissions.

Amperes 4.0.13 requires iOS/iPad OS 10.3 or later. It costs $1.99 and is available at the App Store.
