Notable apps and updates, Feb. 4

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

SpriTec Software has updated SuperTab, its app switcher, to version 5. App Switcher for macOS.

The utility gives users instant access to their files, folders, windows, websites, calendars, screen shots, recents, clipboard history, Dock items, Desktop contents, Dropbox, custom clipboards, and more. Users can customize, configure and even colorize the App Switcher to suit their own work flows and personal styles. Version 5 offers even more customization options.

SuperTab 5 works with macOS 10.10 and higher. It’s free to download and is fully-functional for 30 days. After 30 days, it remains fully-functional but will occasionally ask you to register. Users can take advantage of a special 50%-off sale price of US$10 through March, 2021. Users of earlier versions of SuperTab can upgrade to version 5 for $2.99.

iOS/iPadOS

Anh Do has announced Pins for Pinboard for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. It’s built for Pinboard users who wants to quickly add bookmarks to their account on-the-go using the share extension, browse their past bookmarks, and explore popular community links.

Pins comes with modern features like widgets, Spotlight integration, Shortcuts support, Handoff, drag-and-drop, multitasking capabilities, and more. The app is compatible with the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Available at the Apple App Store and Mac App Store, Pins is free to try with a one-time upgrade to unlock access to all features.

BuddyCheque’s vaccination passport, ConfirmD, is now available for download on the Apple and Google Play stores. The app equips individuals with a secure platform to record, verify, and share their medical records, including COVID-19 vaccination history, antibody status, and test results.
