Notable apps and updates: April 8

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Norbert M. Doerner has released NeoFinder 7.8, an update to the digital asset manager and disk cataloger.

The new version contains improvements in various areas. MP3-Info related file renaming features have been added, connections to bandcamp for song files, GPS GeoTags can be added to MP4 video files, cataloging of Corel Painter RIF, .webp image files, and Nikon Z7 II NEF RAW photos. Users can also rename audio files based on their ID3 tags.

NeoFinder 7.8 requires macOS 10.10 or higher. The price for new users starts at approximately US$35. The new version is free for NeoFinder 7.x customers. Multiple user packs are available for network users. 

Cross-grades for users of similar applications (Cinematica, DiskLibrary, FileFinder, CatFinder, Canto Cumulus, Disk Tracker, DiskCatalogMaker, Atomic View, iView Media Pro, Extensis Portfolio, and others) are available. A free NeoFinder demo version can be downloaded from the NeoFinder website.

Cisdemhas upgraded Cisdem Video Converter, a video conversion tool for macOS, to version 6.6.0. The update speeds up DVD loading and video download and fixes the crash issue of loading some DVDs.

Cisdem Video Converter 6.6.0 requires macOS 10.10 or higher and costs $49.99 for a single user, lifetime license.  A demo is available for download.
