Notable apps and app updates for Nov. 1, 2017

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Nuno Palmeirim has introduced BestOfPainting 1.0 for iOS and tvOS. It’s an art app that lets anyone “own” the most famous artworks in the world and enjoy them anytime in their Apple device. BestOfPainting showcases more than 6,000 detailed 4K full screen paintings. The app is free, but does offer in-app purchases.

Daikyouju Labs has debuted Ukulele Tuner Pro Lite 1.0. The free music app is designed for professional musicians and ukulele lovers alike. Ukulele Tuner Pro Lite indicates the sound frequency in Hertz (Hz) in order to achieve the exact note depending on the type of ukulele (soprano, concert, tenor or baritone). The musician just needs to play the string and a light comes on when it’s in tune.

Kent Automotive, a distributor of high-performance products and inventory management solutions to collision and mechanical repair shops and automotive original equipment manufacturers, has released a mobile app to make repair parts tracking and cost recovery easier and faster for collision centers.
