Notable apps and app updates for May 21, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

WITLS Games has debuted Rescue Birds – Slingshot and Power Balls 1.0. In the 3D action game, your goal is to rescue captured birds by breaking cages with a slingshot and different power balls. Rescue Birds is free, but does offer in-app purchases.

Ivanovich Games has launched Cosmic Challenge 1.0. In the free game you must master different space ships and move forward to new levels and scenarios as you race against a variety of opponents.

RT Teknika has introduced iConvolver 1.0. It’s a $3.99 app for utilizing convolution reverb on an iOS device. Using Impulse Response files that records the properties of reverberation from acoustic spaces such as halls and studios, high-grade hardware reverb, spring reverb, speaker cabinets and microphones, iConvolver can reproduce those properties. It comes with several Impulse Response files included, so you can immediately test out those sounds.

Presentek Software has released Flipdeck 1.0. The free (through June 20) app lets you organize and repeatedly send frequently shared information from your iOS device. By creating cards of information categorized into decks, Flipdeck users can quickly flip to what they wish to send and then text or email the contents of the card. Cards can contain an image, text, and links to web pages, documents, videos, and more.
