Notable apps and app updates for June 7, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Magnin & Associates have driven out Go Kart Park 1.0 for iOS and Apple TV devices. The $1.99 game features three different types of go kart tracks: a standard oval lap track, a slick track with tight hairpin turns, and a drag strip. There are eight different go karts from which to choose, along with automatic or manual transmission on each.

QLess has rolled out QLess. The free app is designed to allow users to reduce wait times and avoid waiting in line. 

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

publicspace.net has announced A Better Finder Rename 10.07 an update of their batch file renaming solution for Mac OS X. It adds the ability to to export and import presets to enable smoother sharing within and across teams.

A Better Finder Rename requires Mac OS X 10.7 or higher. Version 10.06 is a free upgrade for customers who have purchased A Better Finder Rename after Jan. 1, 2015, or who own a forever upgrade. Discounted upgrade prices are available from our web store and start at $12.95 for a single user license.

A Better Finder Rename may be purchased for $19.95. Family, Business and Enterprise licensing is also available. Customers may chose to include a “forever upgrade” with their purchase.

tvOS Apps/Updates for the Apple

Udemy, one of the world’s largest online learning platforms with over 11 million students, launched their Apple TV app today. Education is the third most popular Apple TV category after TV and Games and now, Udemy students will be able to transform their living room into an immersive learning environment. Developed specifically with TV in mind, the Udemy app curates content specifically for this platform – for example, take fitness or dance classes from the comfort of your home, or learn to code while using multiple devices and not needing to toggle screens.
