Notable apps and app updates for June 1, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS Apps/Updates

River SRL has announced Sparkle 2.6.1, an update to their visual web design application for macOS.

It allows you to create GDPR-complaint websites in a fully visual way, with no need for knowledge of HTML or technical jargon. In addition to privacy enhancements, version 2.6.1 brings enhanced site generation, contributing to higher performance metrics.

Sparkle requires macOS 10.13 or higher. It’s free and available at the Mac App Store.

Signify has released Philips Hue Sync. The free app enables you to perfectly synchronize your Philips Hue smart lighting with games, videos and music played on your macOS (Sierra and later) computer. The new home entertainment software, which runs alongside the Philips Hue app, delivers an unprecedented level of spatial immersion, according to the folks at Signify.

iOS Apps/Updates

Vivid Games has launched Space Pioneer. In the game, bounty hunters choose choose from a deadly arsenal of shotguns, flamethrowers, laser blasters and grenade launchers and more, each with their own upgrade path for enhanced killing power. Space Pioneer is free, but does tout in-app purchases.
