Notable apps and app updates for July 24, 2017

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

The countdown to the total solar eclipse on Aug. 21 has begun, and viewers can prepare with Eclipse Safari. The free app from Simulation Curriculum (creators of SkySafari) — in partnership with Space.com — provides skywatchers with an interactive eclipse map, letting users know exactly when the eclipse will start in their location, how long it will last and when it will end.

OneTable, the social dining platform, has served up the OneTable iOS app. The free tool allows users to explore available Shabbat dinners by city, search and filter for specific dinners, sign up to attend a dinner, and even manage dinners they’re hosting.
