Notable apps and app updates for July 20, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Pabro has introduced Manifesto 1.0. It’s a free photography app for taking burst pictures and recording video and voice when launched. Extra features include 99 super-fast burst pictures taken at launch, always horizontal capturing for visual content and pausing of video recording.

Multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Diane Arkenstone has launched Interactive Fairy Tales. The $2.99 app for children incorporates a dynamic mix of interactive storytelling involving a mythical world filled with fantastical creatures and people populating a series of infectious limericks.

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

Mac Broadcaster has announced JustBroadcaster for Facebook 1.5.3, an update to the Facebook live-streaming app for Mac OS X.

It provides a tool to broadcast live content directly to Facebook from a Mac. Video streams can include the Mac’s desktop, video from individual apps, iOS devices, webcams, and more. Version 1.5.3 brings Facebook reactions info, and a fix for an audio/video sync issue for external devices.

Mac Broadcaster requires OS X Yosemite or El Capitan. It costs $19.99 and is available at the Mac App Store. A one-year license is also available for $10 through the JustBroadcaster website, where a demo is available for download.

Cisdem has released iPhoneRecovery 3 for Mac. It’s an upgrade of the iPhone data recovery software for retrieving lost or deleted iOS data.

iPhoneRecovery can help recover multiple files, including lost photos, videos, messages, contacts, call history, Safari bookmarks, notes, calendar, and more. Version 3.0 offers performance improvements and a revamped user interface.

Cisdem iPhoneRecovery 3 is available here. The price for a single user license is $49.99. Discounts are offered for approved schools, churches, government entities and charitable organizations.
