Notable apps and app updates for Jan. 8, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS Apps/Updates

CyberByte has released CyberByte Antivirus 2.1.1, an t update to their antivirus and internet security application for Macs.

The security app provides protection against threats by scanning for and removing viruses, malware, and adware. The utility also scans any local network for all connected devices, allowing users to ensure that no unknown devices are connected to their network. 

CyberByte Antivirus 2.1.1 requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It’s free and is available at the CyberByte website. A premium version of the app that offers additional features is available for $24.

iMobie has announced AnyTrans 6.3.0, an update to their mobile content manager for macOS and Windows. It offers bi-directional transfer across multiple devices. 

AnyTrans works with iOS and Android data. Version 6.3.0 offers the ability to transfer and manage almost all data from Android to Android or from an iOS device to an Android device.

AnyTrans 6.3.0 costs $39.99 for a single-user license, and $59.99 for a family license. A demo is available for download.
