Notable apps and app updates for Jan. 5, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Abylight Studios has introduced RC Club 1.0, a radio control simulator for iOS11. Thanks to the augmented reality technology powered by ARKit, the free app combines real-world physics. RC Club is a realistic simulation of a radio controlled car performing as it would on the real world: gravity, speed, acceleration, weight, friction, forces, lights and shadows.

Tekton Technologies has launched Swift Miles – Mileage Tracker 1.0. It’s a free business expense tracker that allows business users and employees to claim deductions. To make mileage logging simple, Swift Miles provides automatic trip detection, mileage logging and accurate route maps, with the additional benefit of consuming less battery power. The app also uses the latest IRS mileage rates for calculating deductions.
