Notable apps and app updates for Jan. 26, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Woebot is a free app designed to help fight depression. Drawing from principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, it helps you learn about yourself. Woebot asks how you’re feeling and what is going on in your life and sends you tools depending on your mood and needs at that moment. You can think of Woebot as a choose-your-own-adventure mental health manual that gets more specific to your needs over time.

macOS Apps/Updates

Fun Driven has released Breath Ball 2.1.2, an update of their breathing guidance app — and the first one available for macOS.

Developed for the Neurological Therapy Center Gmundnerberg in Austria for use by their patients, it  helps users to relax by guiding their breathing rhythm. The app is designed to be as simple to follow as possible.

Breath Ball requires macOS 10.9 or higher. It’s free and available at the Mac App Store.
