Notable apps and app updates for Jan. 23, 2017

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Gebo Kano has unleashed Endangered Animals – Practise statistics 1.0 for the iPad. It’s a $2.99 educational game for kids to practice and study statistical concepts and charts. The theme is endangered animals and real world examples are used.

Idle Game Studio has introduced Geeks vs Gangsters 1.0.1. The free game combines classic clicker game features with an offline progression with features like a big talent system, two factions to join, multiple managers for different play styles and monthly competitions.

ProtectStar has launched iDelete Cleaner for iOS 2017 By connecting an iOS device to any Mac and running the $24.99 app, you can regain storage space and improve the performance of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch by cleaning up junk data and other files left behind by ill-behaved and crashing apps, surfing the web, and editing documents, photos and videos.

macOS Apps/Updates

Cisdem has updated Cisdem PDFCreator for macOS to version 4.0. It’s a tool for creating PDFs from Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), EPUB, Text, RTFD, HTML, CHM, JPG, PNG, and other file formats.

Version 4.0 adds support for the converting or merging of designated pages, batch conversions and more. Through Feb. 5, you can buy Cisdem PDFCreator for $27.99; it’s 30% off the usual price.
